Fee-only fiduciary · Lancaster County, PA

I’m Robert Reese.
I manage every account myself.

You may know me from my market commentary. For clients, it’s the same thinking applied to your portfolio: I follow the markets every trading day, make the calls, and tell you exactly what I’m doing and why.

Fee-only, no commissions. Fiduciary. Assets held at Schwab, in your name.

Managed for your life now, and the generation that follows.

Meet Robert Reese

Why I do it

1928My great-grandfather, H.B. Reese, invented the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. I still manage our family’s trust today, and that commitment to legacy is the reason this firm exists.

What I manage

Three services, each managed by me. If you aren’t sure which one fits, that’s what the first conversation is for.

Legacy Building

For families still building: real assets to invest, a future that hasn’t fully taken shape yet, and a preference for one person managing it.

Portfolio management

For individuals and families with meaningful investable assets, often after a business sale or an inheritance, who want active, concentrated management and a direct relationship with the decision-maker.

Trust investment management

Portfolio management built around Pennsylvania’s prudent investor rule, coordinated with trustees, estate attorneys, and CPAs, for income and remainder beneficiaries alike.

How I work

These apply to every account, whichever service you choose.

  • Who you work withMe. I make the investment decisions, and I’m the person you call.
  • How the portfolio is builtAround your situation, your tax picture and your timeline, and revisited as those change.
  • How I’m paidOnly by clients, as a percentage of the assets I manage. I don’t earn commissions or sell products.
  • Where your assets are heldAt Charles Schwab, in your own name. I manage the account but never hold your money.

The name

The Reese name has carried one idea longer than I’ve been alive: build something meant to outlast you.

In 1928, my great-grandfather, H.B. Reese, invented the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Nearly a century later, it’s still recognized on sight. I still manage our own family’s trust with that same long horizon in mind, and I think about client portfolios the same way: not as a quarter to win, but as something a family or a trust should still be glad to hold ten and twenty years from now.

Common questions

Who do you work with?

Individuals and families with meaningful investable assets, and trustees responsible for managing a trust, along with the attorneys and CPAs who advise them. Fit is determined in conversation and in a written proposal.

What is the account minimum?

$250,000, which may be reduced or waived on a case-by-case basis.

How are you paid?

Fee-only: an annual fee from 1.00% down to 0.60% of the assets I manage, blended by tier and billed quarterly in arrears. No commissions, product sales, or referral fees. See the full fee schedule.

Where are my assets held?

At Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., a qualified custodian, in your own name. Reese Legacy Capital manages the account but never holds your money.

Do you work with clients outside Pennsylvania?

Yes. We work with clients outside Pennsylvania, and where you live doesn’t change how we work together. Meetings happen by video, your account is held at Charles Schwab in your own name, and you get the same direct access to Robert as a client down the street. Reese Legacy Capital is registered as an investment adviser in Pennsylvania, and other states limit how many of their residents an out-of-state adviser can serve. Reach out and we’ll confirm we can work with you in your state.

Let’s talk about what you’re building.

An unhurried first conversation about where you are, what you hold, and honestly, whether it’s a good fit for both of us. No obligation.

What happens next

  1. 1You book a time, call, or send a message.
  2. 2We talk through your situation and goals.
  3. 3If it’s a fit, you receive a written proposal.
